Keep It Lo

Your credit utilization rate (or amounts owed) makes up 30% of your FICO Score and is the second-most important factor after payment history. Experts generally recommend keeping your utilization rate below 30%, with some suggesting that a single-digit utilization rate (under 10%) is best.

If Walmart didn't keep its prices low enough to compete with e-commerce giants like Amazon, then it could soon enough go the way of Borders bookshops, Sam Goody's record stores, and other once-ubiquitous retailers that saw their market share fade and then collapse as online sales grew ever larger.

Somewhat ironically, just as the rise of online sales (and the surging growth of Dollar General stores) prompts Walmart to keep costs low to stay competitive, in many areas, Walmart is the only major retailer in town.

About 90% of Americans live within 15 miles of a Walmart, and the company can count on millions of customers using its physical stores as their go-to spot for groceries, clothing, household goods, and more. This huge, reliable customer base allows them to keep prices low.

Since first opening in the early 1960s, Walmart has followed the guidance of late founder and namesake Sam Walton to keep operations costs low. Walton himself famously drove around in an old pickup truck long after he was a multimillionaire; in our era, the store keeps costs low by using a sophisticated and largely automated supply-chain management system, by keeping in-store design basic, by having executives use budget travel options, and, until recently, by paying hourly employees less than competitors.

In 2015, Walmart said that it loses up to $3 billion each year to theft, or 1% of its total $300 billion in sales that year. That figure would be much higher if the retailer didn't aggressively combat shoplifting. The company keeps a registry of all confirmed shoplifters, and it reportedly pushes for prosecution in many cases of theft.

How much fiber does the food contain? Fiber provides volume, takes up space, and slows down the digestive process. It reduces our ability to overeat by keeping us feeling full for a longer period of time.

OrangesIn addition to offering a hefty dose of vitamin C, oranges are a good source of potassium and they help keep you full with their high water and fiber content. In fact, oranges are the highest-ranking fruit on the satiety index, ranking fourth out of the 38 foods tested.

PotatoesThe humble spud has been shunned by many, but a five-ounce, plain baked potato only has about 100 calories, along with Vitamin C, potassium, and some fiber and protein. Additionally, boiled potatoes rank in the top spot on the satiety index, making this yummy starch the best low-calorie food to keep you full.

Whole GrainsWhole grains are a staple in many health-conscious eating plans, and for good reason. They provide an excellent source of low-calorie fiber and protein to help slow down the digestive process and help us feel full longer. The key is to make sure that you are using whole grains instead of refined grains to get the fiber and nutrients while also keeping calories low.

On March 8 in Miami, while dining on sushi at the Shore Club's Nobu, Lopez and her new leading man, Marc Anthony, 34, couldn't keep their hands, or their lips, off each other. (Interestingly, Lopez and Affleck publicly kicked off their romance with a liplock at Nobu in New York City in 2002.)

People with diabetes need to keep their blood sugars from getting too high or too low. Keeping blood sugar levels in a healthy range means balancing when and what they eat, and when they exercise with when they take medicines.

Learning how to recognize the signs of low blood sugar levels and get them back to normal is an important part of caring for diabetes. Keeping track of your blood sugar levels and recording lows when they occur will help you and your diabetes health care team keep your blood sugar levels in a healthy range.

When the temperature outdoors changes, it can impact the air density in your tires. While this is not necessarily a problem, it is something you should keep an eye on. This is particularly relevant during the colder months. The cold temperatures cause your tire air to lose density, which will contribute to tire deflation. Warmer temperatures, conversely, may help boost the inflation in your tires (which is okay as long as they do not become overinflated).

If the temperatures have caused you to lose tire pressure, you simply need to bring it in for a refill. An expert will give you some room for safety to account for fluctuating temperatures. Your vehicle should alert you of tire pressure changes with the temperature; however, it is still something to keep in mind during times of extreme weather.

When your tires reach the end of their lifecycle, they will not retain air as they used to. There are a number of different factors that can contribute to the deflation of an old tire. If your tires are old, have been used extensively, have worn tread, and are having trouble keeping air pressure levels up, it may be time for a tire replacement.

No single food, supplement, or workout session is going to be the magic bullet. To maintain a healthy blood sugar level (and keep it balanced for good), start eating a minimally processed diet that contains fiber, protein, healthy fats, and high-quality carbohydrates; get regular exercise; make sure you're hydrated and well-rested; play around with meal composition; and experiment with research-backed superfoods and supplements.

Remember, exercise is only one part of an osteoporosis prevention or treatment program. Like a diet rich in calcium and vitamin D, exercise helps strengthen bones at any age. But proper exercise and diet may not be enough to stop bone loss caused by medical conditions, menopause, or lifestyle choices such as tobacco use and excessive alcohol consumption. It is important to speak with your doctor about your bone health. Discuss whether you might be a candidate for a bone mineral density test. If you are diagnosed with low bone mass, ask what medications might help keep your bones strong.

Typically, librarians are employed by universities, public schools, museums, and even law firms. Their job is to manage an extensive collection of material. Librarians can also classify new work, assist with research, and manage staff to keep a library running smoothly.

While high vacancy rates can be a result of many factors, there are some specific strategies that investors can implement to keep them low. This should be the priority of every landlord who wants to be successful.

One of the best ways to ensure you attract tenants (and keep them) is to buy investment properties that are located in nice neighborhoods with high job growth, good transportation, infrastructure, and essential amenities like schools, hospitals, restaurants, etc. Tenants are more comfortable living in such neighborhoods. A rental property located in an undesirable area will always be harder to rent.

To minimize vacancy, you always want to make a great first impression to potential tenants. Apart from ensuring that your property is operating in top condition, be sure to spruce up the exterior through landscaping, frequent repainting, trimming trees and shrubs, etc. This will help you attract and keep tenants.

To keep turnover low, be stringent with tenant qualifications. Getting high-income, stable, reliable, and responsible tenants will make your life as a landlord easier and also keep your vacancy rate down.

One of the easiest ways to keep vacancy rate low is to keep your tenants happy by quickly responding to their maintenance requests and other issues. Whenever possible, act quickly to resolve any issues that may make your tenants uncomfortable or pose a safety or health risk.

One great way to keep rent-paying tenants is to offer them some sort of incentive to stay. For instance, you can offer a reduction in rent for one month if they sign another one-year lease. This will make them feel appreciated and they are likely to stay put. 041b061a72
